Matt Dabrowski
I’m a consulting economist, pollster, and analyst. I look forward to discussing how we can work together.
Independent macroeconomic research
I conduct independent macroeconomic research on the U.S. and regional economies. My research has been published in outlets such as the Financial Times, Barron’s, and Business Insider. Previously, I served as an analyst on the global economics team at Citigroup in New York. I offer an impartial, data-driven perspective tailored to the specific needs of each client, and I combine my reporting with the design of reproducible processes that the client can carry on after the engagement is concluded. I have a specialty in analyzing economic themes related to Texas and the regional economy, including the cattle industry, and I’m a member of the Texas Cattle Feeders Association.
A typical engagement is a community bank seeking to understand the macroeconomic factors impacting its major credits. As a ‘chief economist on call,’ I also work with business leaders who have compelling economic ideas to explore but lack the internal resources to pursue them.
Forthcoming: Monthly cattle outlook
In the future, I’ll be offering a high-level monthly outlook that brings institutional-grade research to the cattle markets. It will include price and production outlooks, alongside proprietary analysis. An interest form is available. Express your interest today.
Robust survey research
I’ve established large-scale survey research programs for Wall Street banks, public relations firms, colleges, and members of Congress. I’m a member of the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR), and I’m proud to adhere to its Code of Professional Ethics and Practices.
Typical engagements are public companies looking to establish best-in-class research programs over the long term. I also work with institutional investors seeking to generate custom research data using survey methodologies.
Economics for marketing research
I offer a full complement of economic research tools for data-driven marketers, including demographic studies and pricing analyses. I also offer traditional economic impact studies. Typical engagements are early-stage firms requiring particularly complex modeling as part of their marketing strategies. I partner with The Startup Group, a small-business consulting firm.
